Mothercare Reclining Glider Chair is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy I did a lot of research before buying a chair for me and my baby as there seemed to be a lot on the market at all different prices. I decided on this one and I'm very glad I did. This one does everything I wanted - glides, reclines, has comfy arm rests that you can lean on for a long time and has good sized pockets. After having a lot of back pain during pregnancy, I was pleased to find the back is amazing as it really props you up when upright. Every time I have a visitor to the nursery they try out the chair and they always say 'wow this is great'. I would say it took my partner and I 20 minutes to put together taking our time - you only need a screwdriver. I'm also quite heavy and would say this supports my weight well so no worries there. Overall, very pleased and have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soooo comfortable I bought this on line on a Wednesday and item was delivered next day! Instructions for putting together not the best but as I am used to putting flat pack together turned out to be pretty easy. Bought for my daughter and husband who are awaiting the arrival of their first child and my first grandchild. They are extremely pleased with the chair

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Chair I bought this chair a couple of weeks ago and it has already been a godsend as I'm struggling to sit on a normal sofa, my baby is due in 3 weeks and I had a similar chair that was given to me for my previous child (I had to give it back as it was needed), it came in very handy for breastfeeding and later on as the my boy got bigger and started on the bottles, I could get him to sleep in the chair and then put him down in his cot. It's very comfortable and stylish and will go perfectly in my new nursery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent nursing chair This chair is very comfortable and has helped our little one relax when feeding. The pockets are handy. It was relatively easy to put together although not without classic flat pack frustrations. But overall highly recommend this.

Questions & Answers

How does this one compare to the Tutti Bambini? And whaade you purchase this one over the branded one?

Asked by: Rabia
Strangely I also bought a used Tutti Bambini chair as well so can compare. Tutti Bambini is fully assembled and good quality. Mothercare is good but self assembly. They look very similar. Honestly think Tutti Bambini is best.

Can you stop the rocking motion and have this as a fixed chair?

Asked by: Megan
No it's a rocker only. But you can stop the rocking motion by putting your feet on the floor. Great chair; highly recommended.

What is meant by "7 recliner position" does this mean how far you can lean back and is it related to the back rest? A it like in the photo attached?

Asked by: Parv
I'm not convinced mine does 7 positions, but there are various reclining angles you can have- almost lying flat to upright. I have used mine right through pregnancy and am still using it with my 6 month old- definitely a worthy investment!

I have bought the chair and struggling to attach the arms. It looks like when I put in bolts I have to drill through some of the wood (that does not look like I should be!) to attach them to the back rest of the chair .anyone else had this problem?

Asked by: Gillian
No drilling required, arms just screw in as Chris has advised.

Hi, how upright can you sit in the chair? We've just had to get rid of the chair we bought for feeding as the chair back was reclined too much to feed.

Asked by: Angid
It doesn't go bolt upright, but you certainly can sit up straight on it. I haven't tried breastfeeding yet so can't comment on how good it is for that. Hope that helps!

Hi Please can you tell me if it is high enough to rest your head on? I'm 5.6 and want to be able to lean head back on it but in the pictures it's not clear if it tall enough! Thanks

Asked by: Hayley
Yes it is I'm 5.10 and at 4.30 in the morning it's a struggle not to just fall asleep on it.

How do I wash the chair material?baby has been sick on cushion.

Asked by: Gemma
Dear Gemma Thank you for your question These are the notes on the user guide for the care and cleaning of the chair CARE AND CLEANING Wipe away spills immediately to prevent staining. Do not scratch or chip the finish. Use a cloth dampened with water and/or mild soap or a professional product to clean the fabric. Always test an inconspicuous area first. Allow upholstery to dry and brush lightly. Keep away from the heat to avoid glazing, melting or scorching. Cushions are to be dry cleaned only. Do not machine wash the cushions. Hope this helps
