Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor customer service from Mothercare. Ordered 12/03/17. On 28/03/17 still not arrived. Called customer services and was told not due in stock until 11/04/17 and due on 07/04/17!! Very disappointed that I wasn't informed of any of this. Stress I could do without.

Questions & Answers

Will this be too hot for the summer months? I see that Bugaboo sells a Baby Cocoon "Light" on their website, but this is the fleece-lined model, correct? Does Mothercare sell the "light" version? I plan to use this for my newborn (due in early May) fo

Asked by: Amanda
Hi Thank you for your enquiry. The bugaboo Bee baby cocoon has comfortable lining which features bamboo charcoal fabric to regulate temperature and keep moisture away from baby. To view our range of current products, please visit our website directly. Small babies are not good at controlling their own body temperature, so it is important that you monitor their temperature and adjust their clothing/bedding accordingly. It is just as important that your baby does not get too hot as it is to ensure they are not too cold.

Can this be used in the Buffalo carry cot?

Asked by: Claire
Hi Claire Thank you for your enquiry. Bugaboo Bee Baby Cocoon fits both the Bugaboo Bee 2009 and 2010 models as well as the carrycot of the Bugaboo Chameleon (all sold separately)

Hi - sorry, I am new to the whole pram / push chair thing. Do I use the cocoon for a newborn in the pushchair instead of buying a carrycot?

Asked by: Alex
Hi Alex Yes that's right, no need for a carrycot if you purchase the cocoon!

Hi my baby is due in June, I am going to purchase the bugaboo bee, would I benefit more from buying the cocoon or the basinette to use from birth as I have heard from a lot of people they do not get much use from the basinette?

Asked by: Michaela
I have just had my second baby and as the first time round I just wanted a lie flat pram without buying a carry cot as you don't use them for very long and think it's a waste of money. I have just used the cocoon and more than happy with that as can be used from birth. My wee one is nearly 5 months old and I am now looking to change to a footmuff and and a new sun canopy in a different colour so it feels like a new pram again.

How big is it?. There is no measurements described.

Asked by: sehnaz
It would probably fit your baby until they are approximately 6 months. I love mine, my wee one is just over 4 months and hoping to keep using it as it keeps them lovely and warm. They look so cosy in it. Hope this helps ?

Can I close the bugaboo bee with the cocoon attached to it? Or do I have to keep removing it?

Asked by: Nasrin
You can but it is arkward and you would have to adjust to cocoon each time, better off removing it, which is straight forward quick and easy. It takes me less than five minutes to collapse the Pram and take cocoon out and the same when opening up. Honestly Best Buy for me. My baby no longer even uses cocoon lasted 8mths. On the plus side It's less difficult than the baby carrier as it is heavier and uses more space to separate the two each time.

Hi Do i need the cocoon or do i need the footmuff what is the difference please- or do i need both lol also is there a difference between a 'hood' and a 'sun canopy' Im absolutely confused thank you

Asked by: Maryam
I can answer the cocoon part of your question. We bought the cocoon to use with a different Pram. We loved it and it was perfect for our daughter especially in the early months. She is now 8 months old and almost outgrown it. You wouldn't need a foot muff if you have the cocoon as it acts as both a safe wee nest for your baby and keeps them warm.
