Rated 5 out of 5 by Sammy-Jo from Makes you feel at ease I got this product to replace an old monitor. This one has a sensor mat which has definitely made night time anxiety a lot better. Screen is nice and clear. Can adjust volume , brightness and nightlight. Would definitely recommend to any parents that want a reliable monitor [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by SarahJayne from Great product Have used this for 2.5 years and about to buy another one for my second child. Yes the monitor screen turns off after about 30 sec, but it comes back on with the slightest noise... great battery saving feature! Used the sensor mat until baby got good at rolling off it, video monitor we still use on our toddler and it’s saved her from choking many times from random vomiting in the night which she would have choked on had the monitor not woken us up to enable us to rush to her! Brilliant!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hunty from Not overly practical but does the job This is a good product in theory - good sensitive movement monitor, loud alarm, has a video monitor with sound. Bad points are that it has to be plugged in on charge in order to show continuous video, otherwise you have to tap a button every 15 seconds. The more annoying feature is that you also have to have the movement sensor turned on upstairs/different room, in order to use the video/sound monitor at all! For instance, I sometimes have the monitor turned on downstairs with volume up while the baby is upstairs sleeping, I go upstairs to check on baby and bring him downstairs and turn the movement monitor off. The video monitor will continually play audio/sound/echoes until you go back upstairs, turn the movement button on (while holding the mobile monitor with piercing proximity sounds/bleeps/echos by this point) in order to turn the mobile monitor off and then the sensor off again. Or, shout up to a partner to turn it on, while you turn the monitor off downstairs, and then tell them to turn it off before it bleeps for no movement. It's not the best design and I do wish I'd purchased a different model (perhaps the Nanny movement monitor and a basic movement/sound monitor). Pros are that it kicks in with the screen and audio when it senses the baby making sounds/movements. This is a bad thing if it's just continually running all day because a cat has entered a room and you can hear echo's and sounds from all of upstairs (and downstairs) and you haven't been able to get upstairs to faff with turning it on in order to turn it off because you're looking after a baby!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ej19 from Makes me more nervous I bought this as my daughter has reflux and was always worried about her choking at night. Bought the motion sensor mat to reassure and relax me at night but alarm to check baby goes off which makes me more nervous now. Any suggestions to help me fix the monitor issue will be appreciated

Rated 1 out of 5 by Michaela from Awful! I bought this when I was expecting my little girl and wanted a motion sensor pad monitor for peace of mind - she’s now 11 weeks and we have just put her in her own room as she outgrew her Moses basket - and the monitor is awful. It goes off constantly through the night telling me to check baby when there’s nothing wrong - we have turned the sensor down to level 1 so it’s no so sensitive and I was up in the night 4 times because of it

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cross from Nothing The sensor pad is rubbish. It alerted me to check my child 3 times in the night and she was completely fine. I thought the idea was to alert you if something was wrong. So I ended up being up most the night worried. Considering how expensive it is you expect it to work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fingerprints from Hate this! I bought this for our little girl and I hate it! So regret buying it and wish we’d picked a different brand! The video monitor screen doesn’t stay on for longer than (at a guess) 30 seconds before it automatically turns off unless you have it on charge. I wanted something I could take round the house with me and watch her on but I have to continuously press the button - it’s awful! I’m now looking to buy another one which I’m really annoyed about as they aren’t cheap!

What type of mattress is recommended to use with this product?
Thanks for your query. This should not be used with a hollow or foam-free mattress Regards, Mothercare https://www.tommeetippee.co.uk/product-support/digital-video--movement-monitor Setting up the movement sensor pad The monitoring of your baby’s movements is carried out via the highly sophisticated movement sensor pad. It is designed for use in a cot with a flat, firm base. It should not be used in a travel cot, swinging crib, moses basket, or with a hollow or foam-free mattress. Place the sensor pad between the cot mattress and the cot base, directly under the area where your baby will be sleeping. Ensure the sensor pad is positioned the correct way up and that the connecting cord is fed through the base of the cot out of range of your baby and other young children (50cm from the surface of mattress). If the cot has a solid base you may need to make a small hole to pass the connecting cord through. Ensure the connecting cord plug is pushed fully into the socket underneath the baby unit. Do not hang cable over the top or through the bars of the cot. Place the cable down and onto the floor.
