Klarna is now one of Europe’s largest banks and are providing payment solutions for 60 million consumers across 100,000 merchants in 14 countries. Klarna offers a variety of payment methods to simplify the buying experience, in a safe and secure way.

If you want to make a purchase with Klarna you need to provide your mobile phone number and your e-mail address. The mobile number is required in case we need to reach you. All statements will be sent to your email address. It's very important, that you give us the correct details, as otherwise, you will not receive the payment information which could incur late payment fees for which you could be liable.

Yes, when selecting Klarna as a payment method, you can choose to deliver the goods to an address other than your billing address. At the checkout, you will be given the option to enter a separate delivery address.

After we have received your payment, Klarna will send you a payment confirmation to the email address that you have used for your order. Click and Collect service is currently unavailable when selecting Klarna as a payment option. This will be added as a featured delivery/collection service in the future.

As soon as Mothercare has accepted your order cancellation or return of goods, Klarna will refund any amounts due within (5-10) days.

There are three credit finance products offered when purchasing with Mothercare. Pay Later, Pay in 3 and Slice it in 3. Each product has monetary based thresholds and are based on the following total basket value at checkout:

Slice it in 12

Once Mothercare has received the return (partial or full), an updated statement will be sent to you if you've made a partial return. With a full return, your statement will be closed.

In this case, we would ask that you contact the Mothercare Customer Service team at 0344 875 5222 to get an update on your order. You should also contact the Klarna’s Customer Service team here: https://www.klarna.com/uk/customer-service - so that they can postpone the due date for your payment.

If the debt remains unpaid for some time despite multiple payment reminders being sent, the account will be classed as in arrears and then passed to a debt collection agency.

Qualification is subject to individual financial circumstances
To apply to Klarna you must be 18 or have a good credit history – no bankruptcy or Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA).
Ensure your billing address is accurate and up-to-date.
The order shipping/delivery address can be different to the billing address. Provide your full name.
Provide your correct email address and mobile number.
Provide a debit or credit card.
For Pay-in-3 Klarna may make unrecorded enquiries (or soft credit searches) that do not affect credit scoring and are only visible to you and Klarna, but not visible to other lenders. For Pay-in-3, neither Klarna nor Mothercare, carryout credit searches that could impact your credit rating.
For Slice it in 12, Klarna offers a Pay later option based on factors such as the order value, previous order history and item availability. If you are 18 or over, you can apply for the Slice it in 12 option. Please ensure that you provide your full name and accurate registered billing address details (If this is your first Klarna order, we would recommend that the goods are delivered to your billing address). All orders are assessed individually. ‘If your application is not successful this time, this does not mean that you cannot apply to us for future orders – so please do contact us again .

Klarna will send you an email with instructions on how to make the payment and a link to the payment page. Simply enter your email address into the payment page and follow the instructions. In order for your credit finance application to be approved by Klarna, you need to be 18 years of age or over, provide your date of birth and billing address, as well as having a UK bank account and a good credit standing. Pay later 30 days

We’re currently offering a new way to pay for your purchase, called Pay Later, which will be available both online and in-store. With Pay Later, you will have the option to pay for goods within 30 days of purchase, at no extra cost to you.

For online purchases:
1. Find something you love at Mothercare above the value of £50 add it to your basket and go to checkout.
2. Proceed through the Checkout as a guest, or Login if you’re already registered.
3. Choose your preferred delivery method. (Excluding Click & Collect – This is not available through Klarna)
4. Select ‘Buy now pay later with Klarna’ as your payment method
5. Enter your billing address and confirm the delivery address (if different to billing)
6. Select ‘Pay later in 30 days’
7. You will be shown order confirmation page which will confirm the details of the order
8. Klarna will contact you directly with information on how you can access the Klarna App
9. Once products are dispatched you will have 30 days to pay Klarna

Once your order is confirmed you will receive an email with payment instructions within 2 days from Klarna. You will then have 30 days to complete the payment online at your convenience with no extra cost. You can then pay via credit or debit card.

Yes, if you have chosen to Pay later, Klarna will contact you with details on how to access your Klarna account via the App. Within the App there will be instructions for how to make payments to Klarna. You can review your latest Klarna invoices at any time by accessing your account via the Klarna App. If you need further assistance, visit Klarna’s customer service at https://www.klarna.com/uk/customer-service.

You can send any unwanted items back to Mothercare via the usual way, the returns form can be found here. Refunds will be made in the form of a credit on your payment card. Your refund will be made back to the same card which was used to make the payment(s) within (5-10) days. For Pay Later partial refunds are adjusted accordingly.

Neither Klarna nor Mothercare will run credit searches against you that could impact your credit rating. Klarna runs a soft credit check, which is not visible to other lenders. It stays strictly between you, Klarna, and the agency that Klarna use to conduct the credit check.
However, your credit rating may be impacted if you do not settle your credit finance agreement.

Pay in 3

We’re currently offering a new way to pay for your purchase called Pay in 3. With Pay in 3, you have the option to spread the cost of your purchase into three equal payments (“Pay in Three”). The first payment will be taken when your order has been despatched by Mothercare, instalments 2 and 3 are scheduled 30 and 60 days later respectively.

1. Find something you love at Mothercare between £100 and £700 in value, add it to your basket and go to checkout.
2. Proceed through the checkout as a guest, or Login if you’re already registered.
3. Choose your preferred delivery method. (Excluding Click & Collect – This is not available through Klarna)
4. Enter your delivery address details and select your postage option.
5. Select ‘Buy now pay later with Klarna’ as your payment method.

If you've paid Klarna, you can send any unwanted items back to us via the usual way, the returns form can be found here. When a returned order has been received and accepted you will receive the refund back to the original payment method.

Firstly, Klarna will automatically try to collect payment for your purchase from the debit or credit card you entered at checkout. If Klarna is unable to collect your payment on the scheduled due date Klarna will make one further attempt to automatically collect payment two days later. If this attempt also fails, Klarna will issue you a statement for the full outstanding order amount which will become payable 15 days later.

We’re currently offering a new way to pay for your purchase, called Slice It. With Slice It, you have the option to spread the cost of your purchase into twelve equal payments (Slice in Twelve).
You can at any time choose to pay your minimum payment instead of your interest-saver payment. Your monthly minimum payment is the amount to be paid to avoid incurring late fees on your Klarna account. Should you choose to pay your minimum payment instead of your interest-saver payment this will mean you will lose your promotional plan offer and the remaining balance will start to incur interest at 18.9% APR (variable).

Online:
1. Find something you love at Mothercare between £250 - £3000 in value, add it to your bag and go to checkout.
2. Proceed through the Checkout as a guest, or Login if you’re already registered.
3. Choose your preferred delivery method. (Excluding Click & Collect – This is not available through Klarna).
4. Enter your delivery address details and select your postage option.
5. Select ‘Slice it’.
