Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time saver I got this off my sister in law. At first I thought, what a waste of money, you can easily boil a kettle. I couldn’t live without it now!!! So easy to use, no hassle of getting the temperature right, it’s my favourite thing in the kitchen at the moment. I inherited it off someone but would definitely spend money on it if I hadn’t.

Questions & Answers

Can you use mam bottles with the machine?

Asked by: Jac
Pretty sure all bottles fit under the spout as it's like on the counter top, little coffee machines everyone has these days - the tray can be moved up and down to accommodate different size/height bottles. I have used Avent and Timmy Tippee so far and both fit easy. Oh, just remembered... Had a friend stay over New Year and she used it - she had MAM bottles :)

What do you do when going out, take machine with you or would it stay warm in insulated bottle and how long for? When newborn if they drink 2oz would you get rid of remainder after . Thank you

Asked by: nic
Hi Nic The machine is a bit big to take with you on a daily basis. It makes the milk lukewarm so if you have a decent bottle insulator, tommee tippee do them, then it should stay at a similar temperature but only for a short period of time. However, I've never worried about the temperature because in the hospital my little one was given milk at room temperature by the midwives for the first few days as I was in ICU. They never warmed it, not even slightly. If my little one doesn't finish the amount of formula I've made for him I can keep it but for no more than 2 hours, (1 hour if I'm out n about with the ready made stuff). I think you can put it in a fridge and it will last longer but I've never done this as obviously you can't give the milk straight from the fridge and I'm not sure it's wise to re-heat it. So I make sure the bottle has its lid tightly on and try him again later, up to two hours after making it. I hope this has been some help to you but please remember I'm just a mum with only 5 months experience, your health visitor is the best person to ask about feeding issues so please check with them first before making any changes. Best of luck!! Joanne

Hi! My only concern really is if it is alright to use tap or bottled water because im worried that my baby gets ill if i will an unsterile water, many thanks

Asked by: Mildred
Billions of babies have grown up with unpurified tap water boiled in a kettle. This is filtered so using tap water is fine.

Can you adjust the temperature as my baby likes his milk slightly warmer?

Asked by: Alex
No unfortunately not. It's done at body temperature. My baby is the same so I heat up the bottles with warm water and keep them in thermal bag until needed. It's not perfect but it's a way around it. Hope this helps :)

Hi, We've just bought a new perfect prep machine. We got a problem when setting up the machine following the steps shown in the instructions. After emptying the boiled water from the tank and re-filling the hopper with cold water, the water tank hot ligh

Asked by: David
Not sure if you've resolved this. If you're house is very warm then the chances are the water is not cold enough to cool the shots of hot water dispensed into the bottle, this happens to us all the time. If it has never worked, then it sounds like it's a faulty machine. To be sure, remove the fillable filter segment and pour cold water from the fridge or ice water straight to the bottom reservoir (this is where the temp gauge is). If the light stays on after 30 seconds then it's definitely broken

Does it steralise the bottle too or will i need a seperate steraliser?

Asked by: karen
It just makes the bottle for the relevant size feed that you require.its really easy. You can make a bottle within 2 minutes. You will need to buy a separate steamer or steriliser. Hope this helps
