Having invested in a expensive highchair so my 6 1/2 daughter could sit at the table with us, I was very upset that she hated it and would not tolerate it for more than 5 minutes. I bought this booster seat for my mother-in-laws house, and was amazed when my daughter sat in it for a good 45 minutes, ate well and loved sitting at the table. I have now purchased another one for my house, and banished the all singing all dancing highchair to the spare room in the hope she will like it when she is older. A simple but effective product, easy to clean, easy to fix to any chair. Highly recommended.

We bought this for our 21 month old who was becoming reluctant to sit and eat in her highchair. She loves being able to sit with us at the table and now she doesn't want mealtimes to end! The 2 heights mean it is compatible with different chair/table combinations, it is very easy to fit and very sturdy, it doesn't move even with a very wriggly toddler. It is easy to wipe clean and means we now have a lot more space in our kitchen. The only downside I can think of is that the colour combination of the straps with the seat isn't great. Wish we'd bought one earlier!

I have just bought a second of these seats. My 2.5 year old still uses hers when we are out so the 6 month old needs one of her own.

We're following the current guidelines and doing baby-led weaning, so the little one eats the same food as the rest of the family directly from the table - no mushing and spooning. She therefore needs a supportive seat at a good height for any table and chair combination. Sometimes we need the extra height from the removeable base, sometimes we don't - having that bit of adjustablility is useful.

The smooth plastic is easy to clean (unlike padded chairs), and the straps hold her securely. The two year old doesn't use the straps and they don't get in the way.

The only downside is the bulkiness - but if you have lots of room in the car when you go out, or you are looking for a spare seat to leave with the grandparents, this is a good choice. It would also be fine as a main high chair if you always eat at the table.
