having 3 children under 3 i have gone through many double buggys- this one outrates them all- fantastically smooth ride- big enough seats- big hood, midium shopping baskets. all three of my children love this buggy- although it is very big- i have no where to store it and it "lives" folded up in my bathroom!!! its fantastic to push- you hardly feal the weight of buggy, children and shopping. well worth the money, and you get everything with it too- which is always a bonus.

We looked everywhere for the right pram for my newborn and 18 month old. I chose this as we wanted the 2 side by side so that I could keep an eye on them both, with some tandems they tipped once the front child was removed, it is also incredible light, easy to push. I also thought the lady in the shop was joking when she only pressed 1 button to remove the wheels if we needed too!! and 1 button to fold!! The cosy toes are the best quality of any I have seen and the shopping basket is large. our car is med size but fits in the boot with shelf removed(small sacrifice). the best doulble buggy by far and a great price!!!

I agree with the other review about it being tricky to get this buggy on and off busses and in and out of cars, but have found that whatever new buggy i try ,(and i have tried a few!), I always end up coming back to this one. Its is just soooo nice to push and seems really comfy for my twins. The thing i miss most when trying out other buggies is the huge shopping basket that comes with the Urban Detour. In the end, i changed my car to an estate as the hardest thing about getting it in the car was lugging it over the boot lip.

Negatives

The pram is large and cumbersome when folded or in enclosed areas. It is not for use around shops or shopping centres - get a twin stroller for that. You will need a huge boot (fits in a Xantia and Skoda Octavia) to travel with it. It does struggle through doorways.

Neutral

Folds up fairly small given size unfolded. Wheels easy to get off - you will need to do this.

Positive

Superb off road and over bumps/kerbs/parks/canal towpaths/woodland paths and any non tarmac surface - nothing ever stops it. A doddle to push even one handed it is amazingly light and agile given size. Strong brake. Easy to fold. Excellent rain cover with large vent so it does not steam up as much as most. Large basket underneath. Suitable from birth and for different ages of children.

In essence if you walk a lot off road and you have two children it is superb but it is also very impractical if you want to go shopping or use public transport. If it broke (nothing ever has) I would buy another one but suspect anyone who buys this will need another pram as well - we also have a buggy pod for towns.

I love this pushchair. I'd already had two double pushchairs prior to this for my twins. This ticks all the boxes. It is comfortable for my 21mth old twins. Nice and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Great raincover with the lift up vent. Turns on a dime, very light to push and extremely maneouvrable. even with the twins in (my 3yr old daughter can push it!!) Only downsides are it's sometimes difficult to get around the shops with, especially ones with narrow aisles & doorways. It is quite bulky even when folded so a roomy boot is a must.
But overall my boys and I love it!!
