Our work with Save the Children will reflect the global nature of our business and will focus on countries where mothercare group has a strong presence
We're aiming to raise £1.75 million over three years to support Save the Children's work to save children's lives and to eliminate child poverty in the UK. Helping children fulfil their potential whatever their circumstances.
We've made an initial Corporate donation of £50,000 and we'll be organising lots of fundraising events at our head office and in our stores over the next 3 years - we hope you will join in the fun. If you would like to make a donation to Save the Children now and help us save thousands of lives:
Even small amounts of money raised can make a huge difference:
- £5 could provide life-saving treatment for a child with diarrhoea
- £8 could provide a newborn care kit to help a mother look after her baby in the first few months of life
- £10 could buy toys or books for a UK child living in poverty, to aid learning and development
- £100 could train a community health worker to provide health support to mothers and children
- £1,000 could train a midwife providing support to women so they have a safe pregnancy and labour, and learn key skills to care for their newborn baby.
