Delivery Options & Charges

Split Deliveries

Please note in some cases your order may be sent in more than 1 parcel. If you do not receive everything you were expecting in your delivery, please wait a further 2 working days before contacting us as the goods will be in transit.

Delivery Exclusions

All of our deliveries are subject to stock availability and credit card authorisation, and that you are available to accept the delivery. Please note that at present we are unable to provide the Next Day, Named Day and Saturday  delivery service if your basket includes: items on pre-order, items with extended delivery (for example, nursery furniture), or mama tens rental.  If a pre-order or extended delivery item is added to an order where you wish to have one of these delivery options, your order cannot be delivered on the requested day. To ensure the correct delivery for all items in your basket, 2 separate orders can be placed: 1st order: with pre-order and extended delivery items 2nd order: remaining items in your basket.

There are restricted postcode areas where we are unable to offer a Next Day, Named Day and Saturday delivery service. These areas are as follows:
Aberdeen: AB0-8,  AB10, AB30-31, AB33-38, AB41, AB43-45, AB51-56, AB63
Dundee: DD8-10
Stirlingshire: FK3, FK8, FK16-17, FK21
Channel Islands (includes Alderney & Sark): all GY and JE

Extended Delivery


Selected items such as large, bulky or website exclusive items may take a little longer to deliver; if so, this will be indicated on the product information and order summary pages. Please note that some items are only available for delivery to Mainland UK and can not be sent to offshore islands, BFPO addresses or Northern Ireland – please refer to individual products for delivery restrictions.
Where an item says "dispatched within 5 working days" please allow a further 4 working days for the delivery. For Boori and King Parrot items only, you will be contacted by Boori to arrange a suitable delivery date within 14 days of your purchase. You can choose a delivery date outside of this time.  Please note that you may be charged if you return unwanted products

Delivery to Multiple Addresses

With our multi-address delivery option, you can have items from a single order sent to different addresses and visit the checkout only once. How to apply delivery to multiple addresses:

• Add items to your Shopping Basket, then proceed to the checkout
• Click the "Deliver to Multiple Addresses" button on the top right of the Address page.
• Select the address to deliver each item to from the dropdown. To enter a new address, click on “Enter a new address”.
• Enter the address you wish to send the item to, then click on “Confirm and return to address book”.
• Once you’ve chosen which address each item will be sent to, click on “Continue”.

Please note: A delivery charge will be applied to each delivery address selected, for example, if you have 3 different addresses then our delivery charge will be applied 3 times. Next Day delivery can be applied to products in your order as long as they meet the requirements (see Next Day delivery above).

British Forces Deliveries

BFPO deliveries are charged at £8.95. Delivery to BFPO Wembley will be within our standard delivery period. Please allow up to ten working days from receipt at BFPO Wembley to arrival at your BFPO address. Orders for delivery to BFPO addresses are subject to size and weight restrictions, dependent on the geographical location (max. length 1.05m).

Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland Deliveries

A charge of £13.95 will be made for each order delivered to The Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland. For Channel Island customers, please select UK-Channel Islands as your country.

International Deliveries

We offer international delivery on selected items such as baby clothing, kids' clothing, selected toys & gifts, maternity clothing etc... please see individual product for further details. A variable delivery charge will be applied at the checkout, according to the country of destination and weight of your order (see our main International Delivery section below). Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

N.B. We are currently unable to deliver to Romania and Greece.

* The delivery charge will be applied according to the total weight of your delivery. The delivery charge will be displayed at the checkout on the order summary page.

We aim to deliver as specified in the table above, however:

• Delivery made by airmail can take up to 30 days.
• Import duties and taxes may have to be paid in some countries.
• Before ordering please obtain details of these charges from Customs & Excise in the country to which the goods are being dispatched.

Services to the following countries are currently suspended: Afghanistan, Burundi, Congo Republic, French Polynesia, Georgia, Guinea-Bissau, Iraq, Liberia, Rwanda, Somalia, Tajikistan & Uzbekistan.

Email me when available

Items with an “Email me when available” option are normally expected to be available in 4 to 8 weeks. If you request an email we will send one to you as soon as the item becomes available to order on the website.

Self Assembly

Some of our furniture items are delivered flat-packed and will require self-assembly. In conjunction with Screwdriver Homework we are able to offer a home assembly service. Phone 0800 454 828 and tell the Screwdriver team which flat packed item(s) you have purchased. They will arrange for someone to visit your home on a convenient date and time to assemble the item(s) in the room of your choice. Prices start from £48 and will be confirmed when you call. Payment is made direct to Screwdriver. Please check the item and enclosed fixings thoroughly upon receipt prior to booking your appointment.

Mothercare pushchair guarantee

Any pushchair under £100 (i.e. up to £99.99) is subject to a 6 month guarantee.

Any pushchair over £100 is subject to a 12 month guarantee.

Refunds & Exchanges: We will refund or exchange the pushchair if it is returned unused and within 28 days of purchase or if the pushchair displays a manufacturing fault within 28 days of the guarantee validation period.

Repairs & Spares: We will repair your pushchair free of charge if it displays a manufacturing fault after 28 days and within the guarantee period. Please refer to your local store. Repairs due to non manufacturing faults are chargeable.

Fabric: Our manufacturers endeavour to hold fabric/coordinating components for the duration of their guarantee. If colours are not available co-ordinating colours will be used.

Keeping you mobile: We will provide you with a courtesy stroller, if available at your local store, whilst yours is away for repair.

YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED

Affix your delivery note or credit card receipt as proof of purchase to the guarantee. If a problem occurs with your pushchair and you need to claim under the guarantee please contact your local Mothercare store or call our Customer Care Team on 08453 30 40 70.
