smell so bad

I have 3 kids and this is one of the best shampoos I have ever used but I have a great problem with it, it smells so bad, and leaves my kids hair smells so bad also, so either I'll be have to use another product which I tried but not satisfied with the result or be have to live with the smell and avoide smelling my kids hair as much as possible!!!!
