The Axiss is a Group 1 forward facing car seat that can rotate through 90 degrees (either left or right) to face the open car door allowing your little one to be seated easily without you having to stretch inside the car. Once the seat is rotated to face forwards the colour indicator, and an audible "click", confirms that it is correctly locked in position before you begin your journey.
The seat is simple to install using the car's seatbelt, and the automatic locking seat belt tensioner helps to ensure it is held firmly in position.

Your child's comfort has been well provided for in the design of the Maxi-Cosi Axiss car seat with 8 different reclining positions, ranging from an upright mode through to sleep mode and each position is easily selected using the lever on the front of the seat. The seat has extra padding for your child's head, back and bottom and the headrest and harness are easily adjusted to ensure a secure and comfortable fit as your child grows.

The Maxi Cosi Axiss is just amazing! We recently bought one for our daughter as she was ready to move into a forward facing car seat. The Maxi Cosi Axiss is such a sturdy and quality car seat. It is also well padded. Our daughter fell asleep asleep in it on the way home from its installation! :-) It is very heavy car seat though and so I wouldn't recommend it if you are wanting a car seat that easily transfers between cars. Once in place using the seat belt harness it is very safe and doesn't move an inch. I was worried as it doesn't come with an isofix but after seeing it installed my concerns were unfounded!! My daughter loves facing forward and the good thing about the Maxi Cosi Axiss is that your child is positioned a lot higher in the car so they can see out of the window more easily. Our daughter loves this! Of course the rotating seat is the best design of the car seat. Whoever thought of it is without a doubt a genius! It is so much easier and I'm glad that even though the Maxi Cosi Axiss is more expensive than most car seats, it is so-oooo worth it. The ONLY draw back to the Maxi Cosi is that the chest pads are overly large and can be a pain when strapping in but I'm sure they are only that big to ensure safety in the event of an accident. All in all if you want a Group 1 car seat...the best one is quite simply the Maxi Cosi Axiss!!

I bought this car set for my daughter in april at a baby show, since then we purchased a new car, Mothercare couldnt fit the car seat as the qashqai has long seat belt clasps, causing the seat belt to buckle, we contacted our local car parts garage, who managed to track us down a new seat belt clasp thats shorter in length,...seat now in the car...happy customer, so dont be put off.

Great Car Seat

I have had this car seat since June 2010 and it is a great seat, the turning feature is the best part, as it saves stretching around to strap your little one in especially if he/she wriggles!! I had one fault today where part of the strap was getting jammed. However I took it back to mothercare with my receipt and they changed it for a new one straight away! Great Seat, great service A*
