We have been using our grobag egg for almost 2 years now and I cant praise it enough. Absolutely fantastic product, havent had any problems and Im really surprised to read some people have found it inaccurate as our works just fine ( compared to other room thermometers and the temperature was pretty much the same) Im expecting baby no.2 in a couple of weeks, so will be buying another one soon :-)

We've had the Grobag Egg since our daughter was born (she's now 14 months) and have found that most of the time it gives a useful reading. However, at times the temperature has varied wildy in the space of a few minutes, and has read 0'C at times! We're not sure if this has been due to a draught, but we've found we can't really rely on it to provide us with an accurate reading. Instead we tend to go by the temperature reading on the baby monitor, and the Grobag Egg is a rather expensive night light!

Great idea that you get an immediate visual indicator of the temperature as soon as you walk into the room but we found it very inaccurate- glowing red telling us every room in the house was 24 degrees! We opened windows and put a fan on to see if it responded to this but still displayed it was too hot. It's a fab idea but does the opposite of what you want to achieve- knowing reliably what your baby's room temperature is so you can add or remove layers in response so not to overheat or chill!

My baby monitor comes with digital room thermometer on the parents handset, but I found the grobag egg brilliant, especially during the hot weather we have had recently, it gave me the chance to keep an eye on it during the day, then it would give me a chance to cool the room, before i put the baby down. (and im sure it will be the same in the winter, letting me know to warm it up in time) Also great that it glows different colours for temperature changes- means you can just pop head around the door!
